Visby Sweden

The port of Visby is located on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea, off the coast of Sweden. Visby is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Scandinavia and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 3.5 KM long city walls were completed in 1288 and have several turrets. Saffron pancakes and truffle dishes are local specialties.

Where is located the Port of Visby Cruise Terminal

Your ship will dock at the port of Visby. The Visby cruise terminal is located near the city. It takes only a 5-to-10-minute walk to reach the city hall. A tourist information kiosk is located in the cruise terminal where wifi is available (password on the wall).

Public toilets and wifi are available in a building near the park on Donnersgatan street.

Travelling around the Visby Cruise Port

Bicycle are available to rent at the cruise terminal of Visby.
A hop-on hop-off tourist bus service is present in Visby and a stop is located at the cruise terminal. The bus doen’t enter old town. The ticket can be purchased by combining the bus and the small tourist train that runs along the city walls. The tour bus makes stops at Lummelunda Cave.

Lummelunda cave

Over the past 20,000 years, the water that has seeped into the limestone soil has formed these caves. The temperature is always around 8 degrees Celsius in the cave.
