Qeqertarsuaq, which means “the big island” in Greenlandic, is a picturesque town located on Disko Island, off the west coast of Greenland. Founded in 1773, Qeqertarsuaq is one of Greenland’s oldest settlements.
Known for its breathtaking natural landscapes, Qeqertarsuaq is home to some of the most diverse flora in the country due to the island’s volcanic soil. You can also observe icebergs and even whales from the black sand beach on the outskirts of the city.
