Paamiut is a small town on the southwest coast of Greenland nestled between the mountains and the ocean at the mouth of the Kuannersooq fjord. One of the most popular attractions in the city is the beautiful wooden church of Fredens Kirke, built in 1909.
Nature lovers are drawn to Paamiut for its incredible wildlife. The fjords and surrounding waters are teeming with seals, whales and a variety of seabirds, including the iconic white-tailed eagle, a protected species found here in large numbers.
