The port of Oranjestad is located on the island of Aruba, an independent state that is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Aruba is located about 30 km off the coast of Venezuela. This island is part of the formation of islands called ABC (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao).
The Spanish explorer Alonso de Ojeda claimed the island on behalf of Spain in 1499. The Dutch then conquered the islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao 200 years later. You can still see the Dutch influence in architecture.

The bus terminal is located near the Royal Plaza, directly opposite the cruise terminal. The Arubus bus system operates from 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. with departures every 15 minutes. To get to the beach, buses to Malmok and Arashi make stops in front of all the hotels. The U.S. currency is accepted. Round-trip cards or cards for unlimited day trips are available at a small kiosk to the left of the Pizza Hut near the souvenir kiosks.
It is possible to rent a car (preferably a Jeep, which is better to book in advance).
The lighthouse is located on the northwest tip of the island. A guided tour is offered and it is possible to climb there for a view of the island ($)

Over time, this building housed the government, a police station, the prison, the court of justice, a library and a post office. You can climb into the tower by small ladders for an interesting view of the city (if you are dizzy, abstain). The museum includes an exhibition presenting artifacts and the economic history of the island.
These bridges were naturally formed by erosion. Although the original bridge collapsed in 2005, a smaller bridge is still intact. You can see this natural curiosity on the east coast while taking a tour of the island.
In this nature reserve, you can observe the local flora and fauna, visit caves, or bask on one of its beaches. For a guided tour, you must book at least one day in advance. There is an entry fee to the park.
For birdwatchers, access to this site is free.
Aruba has nearly a dozen casinos, mainly in hotels. Near the port you will find Crystal Casino and Seaport Casino.
Easily accessible by bus. A guided tour is offered with the entrance fee. It is advisable to wear bright colors to attract butterflies.

Baby Beach is protected by a rampart and is therefore perfect for beginners. In addition, a bus goes directly there. For experts, Bachelor’s Beach is covered in coral.
The most popular and very touristy beach near the big hotels and casinos. Buses 10, 10A or 10B get there from Oranjestad in 15 minutes.
Quieter, this beautiful beach offers fewer services. Buses 10, 10A or 10B get there from Oranjestad in 10 minutes.
Aruba is known for its beaches, casinos and duty-free shopping. Golf lovers will also find their way here.
