The port of Ocho Rios is located on the north coast of the island of Jamaica. The golden beaches and palm trees surround this beautiful city. The name of the city means eight rivers in Spanish, but it more likely has its origin because there are several waterfalls in this area. Near Ocho Rios, the landscape is made up of mountains covered with lush tropical vegetation. The capital of Jamaica is Kingston.

On Main Street and DaCosta Drive, you’ll find shops, restaurants and bars. Several attractions and beaches are a 5 or 10 minute taxi ride away.

Where is locate the Port of Ocho Rios

Travelling around the port of Ocho Rios

It’s possible to walk to Ocho Rios. Turtle Bay Harbour is a short walk from the city. From James Bond Wharf, a 10-minute walk will be required.
Taxis are available at the port. Be sure to take a taxi that has a JUTA license and negotiate the fare and time for the return before departure. The cost for a round trip to the attractions near the city is about $10.

One of the most beautiful sites, although it is very touristy. You can climb this 180-metre waterfall that ends its run in a basin directly on the beach. It is advisable to wear water shoes to avoid slipping on rocks. Shops are at the top of the waterfall.
