The port of Las Palmas is located on the Island of Gran Canaria which is part of the Canary Islands. These islands of volcanic origin are an autonomous Spanish territory. The climate is very pleasant and stable throughout the year. You will find sandy beaches to the east of the island. Las Palmas, founded by the conquistadores, is the largest city in the archipelago.

Where is located the Port of Las Palmas Cruise Terminal

Cruise ships dock at the port directly in the center of the city. A shopping center is nearby (El Muelle). The center of the city can be reached on foot, in about 10 minutes, by taking the sidewalk on the left when leaving the port.

The historic district of Las Palmas where are found the majority of tourist attractions.

Calle Triana

This street, which dates back to the 16th century, is a pedestrian street where you can find many shops and cafes.

Parque Doramas

In this park with an area of 47,800 m2 you will find dragon trees, ficus, palm trees and other native species. Its cascading fountains and extensive vegetation invite visitors to relax after a day of sightseeing.

Catedral de Santa Ana

The construction of this cathedral began in 1500 and was completed in 1570. A museum of sacred art is located in its south wing.

One of the first houses in the city, Christopher Columbus allegedly stopped there to rest on his way to the New World in 1492.

This science and technology museum offers interactive exhibits on 4 floors. It is located in an old warehouse near the port.
