The port of Honolulu is located at the foot of the city. Honolulu is the capital and largest city of the state of Hawaii and is located on the island of Oahu. This is where you’ll find the famous Waikiki beach. The Aloha Tower is located at the port and is surrounded by several shops. The area is rich in activities and tourist attractions. Honolulu is home to NCL’s Pride of America, which offers year-round cruises to the Hawaiian Islands. If your cruise starts or ends in Honolulu, it may be worth staying for a few more days.

Where is locate the Port of Honolulu

Cruise ships dock at pier #10 at Aloha tower, at the foot of the city centre, or at the pier #2 a little further. A shuttle bus is available between pier #2 and Aloha Tower.

How to get from Honolulu airport to the port

The taxi ride will take between 20 and 40 minutes depending on traffic and will cost about 30 USD.

Private or group transfers can also be booked in advance.

You will find shops and restaurants at the port and in the city centre which is nearby. To get around other attractions, taxis or shuttles to rent a car are available. Note, however, that traffic near the port and downtown can be very heavy. The public transit service is performing http://www.thebus.org/.

Dating back to 1842, the Kawaiahao Church was built with more than 14,000 blocks of coral extracted from reefs off Honolulu. It has been the scene of many events, such as the marriage of King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma.

The visit to the USS Arizona Memorial is free, but you must get a time-stamped ticket and you cannot bring bags for the visit. While waiting for your visit, you can stroll through the exhibits or visit the submarine USS Bowfin and the battleship USS Missouri (entrance fee required). Take the 20 bus from the Aloha Tower.

Reflecting the opulence of the royal courts of Europe, Iolani Palace (364 South King Street) was the residence of the last monarchs of Hawaii, King Kalakaua and Queen Liliuokalani. Construction was completed in 1882 , 11 years later, the Hawaiian monarchy was overthrown.

The former residence of Queen Liliuokalani and has been the official residence of the Governor of Hawaii since 1921. Free tours of the historic mansion are scheduled for Thursdays at 10 a.m. Bookings for the visit must be made 48 hours in advance.

You can climb this crater for magnificent views of Waikiki and Honolulu. You have to walk to the crater and up stairs to get to the top.

The Foster Botanical Garden is an urban oasis with 4000 species of tropical flowers. The venue is often used for weddings and other special events. Guided tours are available.
