Where is locate the Port of Bridgetown

The ships dock at the cruise terminal located about 1.5 km from the centre of the city. There is a tourist kiosk.

Travelling around the port of Bridgetown

Grantley Adams International Airport is located approximately 35 minutes from Bridgetown. A taxi ride will cost you about 46 BDS. Private transfers can also be booked in advance.

It’s easy to walk to the centre of the city. A wooden promenade runs along the shore and is lined with plants and flowers. Taxi drivers are very aggressive at the port to recruit customers.

Driving is on the left.

The Princess Alice Bus Terminal is two blocks from the harbour behind the Pellican Village Shopping Centre. You need to have the exact amount, because the driver does not hand over the change.

You can take a taxi to take a tour of the island. Negotiate the price well before you leave and make sure you agree on the currency used.

George Washington’s House

This UNESCO heritage site has been restored. It is the only place outside the United States that the first American President, George Washington, visited.

Museums

This museum is housed in a former military prison in St Ann’s Garison. It presents exhibitions on civil and military history and works of art.

Nature

This national park is the former home of a wealthy plantation owner. In addition to the remains of the house, you can see beautiful gardens and a splendid view of the area.

Located at St Philip, 25 minutes from Bridgetown. This house was built around 1660 and is furnished with antiques. Its garden has a large number of plants and flowers as well as machinery that was used on the plantation.

A pirate-themed cruise that allows you to admire the west coast of the island, bathe and snorkel. Lunch is included.

Located near Mount Gay Rum Distillery just minutes from the harbour.

Brownes Beach

Located near the city and stretches for several kilometers. However, there is very little shade on this beach.
