Akureyri is located on the north coast of Iceland on the west bank of the Eyjafjurfair Fjord. It is Iceland’s second largest city. In winter, this area is known for its ski resorts. The city has several museums and many activities in the nature. If you leave the city, you can admire some of the most beautiful sights in Iceland.

Where is locate the Port of Akureyri

The port is located at the foot of the city. A shop on the pier offers maps of the city. A tourist information centre is located in the cultural centre, a 5-minute walk from the port.

Travelling around the port of Akureyri

The city is very small, so you can visit it on foot. On the other hand, to furnish your day, you will need to take an excursion, rent a car or take a taxi to see the attractions outside the city.
