Celebrity Cruises announced earlier this year the addition of river cruises to its offerings. Beginning September 3, 2025, a fully refundable deposit of 500USD/700CAD will be available to obtain priority booking access for any of the itineraries for the inaugural 2027 season.
Celebrity River Cruises will sail along the iconic Danube and Rhine rivers.
The Celebrity River Cruises fleet was designed as a natural extension of the company’s upscale offerings. The initial order is for 10 riverboats. Inspired by the sleek, modern design of the Edge series ships, these riverboats will combine contemporary sophistication with European charm. Passengers will have the opportunity to explore cities steeped in history while enjoying refined comfort and 360-degree panoramic views.
Packages will include all meals, selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, onboard experiences, and one daily shore excursion. Additionally, it will be possible to add a pre- or post-cruise stay in Prague or Budapest, available for booking in 2026.
Itineraries will also be revealed on September 3, but booking a specific departure date will not be possible until later. When sales open, Zenith Captain’s Club members will have priority access, followed by Elite Plus members, and finally all other deposit holders. Once notified of the sales opening, guests will have 45 days to make a reservation or their deposit will be fully refunded.
