In 2027, Holland America Line will celebrate its 80th anniversary of Alaskan exploration with a program that promises to be memorable. The company, recognized as the Alaska specialist, will operate six ships between April and September for more than 100 departures ranging from 7 to 28 days. The program includes majestic glaciers, abundant wildlife, immersive cultural experiences, and new tours combining sea and land.

The 2027 Alaska season will offer departures from Seattle, Vancouver, or Whittier (Anchorage), offering travelers several options.

New and Returning Highlights

Among the highlights, a new 8-day “Alaska Inside Passage” itinerary departing from Vancouver will take travelers to Glacier Bay, Skagway, Ketchikan, and Prince Rupert, with a late departure from Juneau. The 28-day “Legendary Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice” cruise will return for a third year, offering a unique summer solstice experience in the Arctic Circle.

Nature enthusiasts will also enjoy the cruises combining Alaska and the Great Bear Rainforest, in 7- or 18-day versions, sometimes including an overnight stay in Prince Rupert and two full days of sailing in this pristine ecosystem.

Holland America Line is the only company to offer a Glacier Guarantee, ensuring that a glacier will be on the itinerary of every Alaska cruise. Itineraries include, depending on the departure, Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord, Dawes Glacier, and Tracy Arm.

Combined land and sea adventures

In 2026, the Ultimate Alaska & Denali pre- or post-cruise land packages will be enhanced, and their 2027 version promises total immersion: two nights at Denali Lodge, visits to Alyeska, Seward, or Homer, a 7-day “Glacier Discovery” cruise, a dedicated tour director, and free admission to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to meet bears, moose, and bison.

Cultural immersion and local gastronomy on board

On board, the “We Love Alaska” program immerses passengers in the region’s world: workshops, storytelling Real Alaskans, expert lectures, and menus inspired by local traditions. Foodies will delight in the Global Fresh Fish program, guaranteeing locally caught fish served within 48 hours, with creations by Chef Morimoto.
