Holland America announced two new exceptional maritime adventures planned for 2027, designed for lovers of the great outdoors, distant cultures and new itineraries. Two prestige cruises will be offered: a 129-day round-the-world trip aboard the Volendam, and a 70-day immersive exploration of South America and Antarctica aboard Zaandam.
Holland America’s 2027 World Cruise

Holland America’s 2027 World Cruise will depart from Fort Lauderdale on January 5, 2027, for a planetary loop that passes through six continents. The 129-day journey will visit 53 ports in 28 countries, with popular stops such as Sydney, Bali, Bordeaux and Cape Town, and unprecedented stops at Jamestown on the island of St. Helena and Georgetown on Ascension Island — places almost inaccessible to traditional tourism. Highlights include crossing the islands of the South Pacific, exploring southern Africa and sailing spectacularly along the west coast of Europe. This unique trip will also provide access to no less than 81 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, ranging from the Taj Mahal to the Great Barrier Reef.
2027 Grand South America & Antarctica

For its part, the 2027 Grand South America & Antarctica voyage will embark passengers on January 3, 2027, for a 70-day adventure to discover the wonders of the South American continent. After passing through the Panama Canal, the Zaandam will set sail for Chile’s rugged coastline, with its majestic fjords and towering glaciers. This will be followed by a four-day cruise to the Antarctic Peninsula, the pinnacle of the trip, before sailing along the coasts of Argentina and Brazil, until returning to Fort Lauderdale. Notable stops include Robinson Crusoe Island, a source of literary inspiration, as well as nights at the dock in Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Rio de Janeiro. Travelers will also be able to discover 28 UNESCO sites, including the famous Galápagos and Machu Picchu (optional excursions).
On board these human-sized ships, comfort is the order of the day: intimate atmosphere, attentive service, refined gastronomy inspired by local traditions, galas evenings, cultural shows and exclusive events.
Early bookings are now open through Holland America’s dedicated service or through a travel advisor. Passengers who request a reservation during the presale period will receive priority access to cabins, onboard credits of up to USD 2,000 per person, a complimentary Wi-Fi package, an airline credit and transfers included, among other benefits. Holland America Line also offers additional inclusions for certain stateroom categories, such as baggage delivery, cleaning, and prepaid gratuities.
